My sobriety date is Jan 12 2013

My life is now  filled with love and laughter.

My passions include helping woman, men and millennials. I love sunrises and exercise.

I never ever realized how alcohol was detrimental to my well being.

Was I falling down drunk? NO. Did others think alcohol affected my life? probably  not but for me—the day I stopped my changed in so many ways.

My true passion is empowering and inspiring others—I AM...... is the way I start helping others to regain their self esteem morning and night I send  a word for others to remember the qualities they have forgotten they posses.

My Story:

In 2013, my 15-year-old started having seizures. Like most teenagers, he enjoyed going to parties and socializing. A significant aspect of these parties was consumption of alcohol, and my son was unable to drink due to his seizures.

As a mother, it was instinctive to make him happy by assuring him that alcohol wasn't necessary for him to enjoy himself.

It IMMEDIATELY dawned on me how hypocritical I was being as I found myself frequently drinking wine.

To prove a point to my son, I stopped drinking for 3 months. The time went by quicker than I anticipated, and I decided to remain sober for another 3 months. Following 6 months of sobriety, I found myself happier than I had been in a while. What started as an example for my son became something I decided to commit to for my son and myself.

It's now 2021, and I am proud to announce that I've been sober for 8 years. Sobriety has changed my outlook on life for the better and has improved both my physical and mental well-being.
