A raw look at young filmmaker Rex Depalma, and his soon-to-be-out film: “PRESSED”

In 2012, Rex kicks Oxy’s to pursue a lifelong dream.

Rex’s life experiences have made him deeply empathetic to the struggles of those often ignored by mainstream media, and he is passionate about telling stories that others are afraid to explore. He has lost close friends and family to the devastating effects of fentanyl, which motivated the fruition of his latest project, PRESSED. This personal connection to the subject matter fuels Rex’s drive to bring this powerful story to life. Not to mention, this will be the film-maker’s debut feature-length film.

Now, with over ten years of directing under his belt, Rex is pushing the boundaries of storytelling with this being his first feature, PRESSED.

Being a filmmaker who thrives on the intersection of art and reality, Rex Depalma is determined to use his craft to shine a light on the human side of society’s darkest struggles, raising awareness and sparking conversation through bold and unapologetic cinema.

National Fentanyl Prevention And Awareness Day August 21

In 2021, Jeremy Kelsay started a movement: “Every Eleven Minutes”

This movement brings awareness of deaths from Opioid Overdoses and Fentanyl Poisonings. Today, 2024, the statistics have more than doubled. Now every Five Minutes people die.

Jeremy has made it his purpose to effect change. His posts are powerful and effective as he highlights the lives taken. Most share a common theme, punctuated by an arresting memorial: “Tyler Willams, Forever 13” supered over a video of the young girl having a joyful moment.
